Well, I’ve finally done it. I have been working towards starting a blog for a couple years now. Folks who know me will not be surprised. I have a tendency to procrastinate but paired with raising kids, working, holding down the fort…oh, and battling cancer, things just take longer. However, I am making a public vow right now to work on that lovely trait and start doing things almost as soon as I think of them. Now that I know you will be holding me accountable (please not too harshly😉) I am sure to be better.
Why start a blog now?
The idea for this blog stemmed from my caringbridge site. Over the past almost three years, I have been updating friends and family about my journey battling cancer and a few tidbits about my homestead life. I used to update more often and then I had the idea to blog instead. After that my posts on the caringbridge site were becoming few and far between as I wanted to save some content for my blog. I just didn’t anticipate it taking me this long to get it up and running.
A lot has happened in the past year so I intend to bring everyone up to speed. Being a newbie to this, I am sure I will fumble here and there as I learn how everything works and play around with the features. The plan is to have a few sub categories so that, unlike my caringbridge posts, you will get to decide what you want to read about. I will try to keep my health posts separate from my homesteading posts and so forth.
Your comments and feedback are welcomed and I hope you like reading my blog. My goal is to bring joy, inspiration, information, and a smile or chuckle to you. Thank you for following along with me. God bless you!
